Good morning Ladies! I hope all you UK bloggers enjoyed your extra day off
I’ve been really lucky this year because with my day off being a Tuesday, I’ve had a couple of lovely four day weekends. I’ve been truly grateful for every extra minute of rest that I’ve been able to enjoy – I’m still in need of a HECK of a lot more sleep than I’m used to. Nurturing a growing baby is immensely tiring!
Anyway…..it’s been a while so I thought I’d do a bit of a catch up post, starting with the breakfast I’ve just finished
Adding oats to your smoothie will help keep you sustained until lunchtime, releasing energy slowly throughout the morning. Combining the yoghurt protein with the antioxidant boost from the berries, you’re on for a winner!
Fruit Crumble Smoothie
- 1 frozen banana
- 1 tbsp greek yoghurt (I used 0% fat)
- a handful of berries (I used raspberries but frozen mixed berries are scrumtastic!)
- a splash of water/milk/juice
- 2-3 heaped tsp oats
Blend until smooth and creamy. Serve immediately and enjoy!
At present, I am enjoying a fully vegetarian diet, to provide all the nutrition for my little sprout
With the exception of the cheese, yoghurt and cow’s milk, my dietary preferences have returned to a degree of normality (still can’t eat broccoli though!). In terms of fruit and veg, it’s raw and crunchy all the way!
I’ve been taking a shot of this multivitamin drink each day, as it is dense with baby-friendly nutrients. It also makes me feel like a Gummi Bear (….”Bouncing hear and there and everywhere…”) Only kidding!
I’ve also become the queen of healthy snacking, for the times when little one gets hungry. I’ve found that I now need to have a quick bite after work, before the gym, whereas I didn’t before. I’m thinking it’s actually a great habit to maintain
Ooh and I ordered a free Graze Box….yeah one of the perks of being pregnant! I actually think it’s a pretty great set up, especially for expecting mothers who often find themselves having to eat little and often. Would you like a free Graze box? Tell me why a Graze box would be good for you and current lifestyle and your wish may just be my command!
I will pick my four favourite answers and will be in touch! (UK bloggers only)
Grazing aside, my food has been of the simple variety during pregnancy. Take this falafel and salad filled pita, for example. Five minutes to plate up and delicious….pity about the poor integrity of the pita bread. It totally crumbled all over!
Since falling pregnant, I’ve become even less of a dirty stop out than before. I’ve resumed uber grandma status now, enjoying naps galore, TV dinners and even more sleep! That is why it was even more special to get out on Saturday night and head to my favourite destination – the theatre!
Neens and I enjoyed the Cuban Contemporary Dance Company in all it’s glory – magnificent
If you’re a dance lover then check them out when they arrive in your area
Reet…..off to tidy, move my body and pick up some ingredients to cook my future hubby a lovely post-work meal
Love xoxo

…And Emm’s trying to teach me to eat properly before the gym too!
Baby sprout eats much better than I do – yum! I want that smoothie now!
Haha, I used to love the Gummi bears! Glad your doing well and eating lots of yumminess to build that lovely baby in your tum! I’d actually quite like to try a graze box, I’ve never had one and I’ve seen them all over blogs. They’d be handy for me right now as I’m so busy doing my healthy eating sessions with young people my usual snacks are getting boring!
I would LOVE to win a graze box because I’m in love with snacks.. healthy ones that is!
I am a dried fruit & nut/seed FIEND! So I think some of the Graze combos would be perfect for my snacking style:).
Aw it’s nice to read an update
I’m glad things are going well! I can imagine being pregnant is exhausting so it’s great that you had some extra time off.
That smoothie is just the sort of thing that I love, blending oats into smoothies really does make them more filling
The graze boxes are meant to be great but I don’t think it would be a good idea for me, I’m trying to cut back on snacking, healthy or unhealthy!
Sounds like a fantastic dance show! I hope you’re having a lovely week <3
it is good for me because of portion control. i currently super addicted to nuts, so sad not having control on that!!!
Great to hear that you are doing so well. Graze boxes are great for healthy and convenient snacks, love them!
Glad to hear you and baby are doing well!
