19th September 2012

Image

ImageThe 19th of September is a date that passed me by 29 times in my lifetime, without any significance. However, as of last week, the 19th is now, a very significant date in my diary, for it marks the birth of my son, Leo. As I type this post, he is cradled in my arm, fast asleep after a good feed…..and I don’t think I could feel much happier or more content than I do now.

After a month fraught with worry and sleepless nights, I delivered my little man at 35 weeks and 5 days, and all 4lb 1oz of him is just perfect. ImageAfter a 5 day stay in the hospital, I was completely exhausted. Strangely enough, the noisy, bright hospital environment is not great when it comes to getting enough rest! Last night, I couldn’t keep my eyes open any more and Phil came home to this scene……I have a cool napping buddy now :-)

So now I have a cute, little sidekick to share in my daily adventures. How cool is that? :-) And before they begin, we’ll just spend some quality time together, getting to know each other a bit. And I’ll apologise in advance for posting a zillion pictures of this face because I just can’t stop looking at it

  1. Oh Emma, I LOVE these pictures… they’ve just brightened up my day no end! :) I was so disappointed not to be able to get down to see you today. But looking forward to the weekend instead. Give him a big cuddle from me until I can do so myself. And big hugs to you too honey! :) xxx

  2. Oh he is beautiful, such a precious little boy! I’m so happy for you and your little family, I hope you are all doing really well :-) I can’t wait to see more of this little sweetheart and hear all about his progress! Lots of love to you both! <3

  3. Came across your blog while browsing, (as you do) and have to say heart warming pics of you & baby Leo, enjoy your time while he’s this small. They grow up so quick :)
