A momentous day

Hey!

How are you guys? Here at Casa de Roxby, I’m getting used to being a mum. It’s crazy hard work! Can you believe my little man is almost two months old?!Hello blue eyes :-) Soooo…..in addition to the baby stuff, what’s been happening? Well…a little bit of this….

Raw seed crackers with a hint of onion….

Green smoothies topped with crunchy cacao nibs……….

A redcurrant and banana smoothie, just to mix things up a bit……

…..and a yummy pea shoot salad with sundried tomatoes, grated carrot, crumbled cashews, tahini lemon dressing :-) Yum!

Today was a momentous day for me. After hours of endlessly scaring myself silly, reading articles about c section disasters, I convinced myself that I’d never be able to run or even exercise painlessly again….well today I went back to the gym after three whole months of no physical activity. And boy what a life changing three months! Stressful, worrying, tiring, painful, important, amazing, beautiful……

Three months ago Phil and I waited with anticipation as we were told that our baby was not growing any more. Tonight I went to the gym sporting a new scar, knowing that this little guy was waiting for me at home :-)

I took things really easy – like level 1-3 on the machines easy – but it was good to get moving again.  I’ll no doubt set myself some solid fitness goals in the next couple of weeks but in the meantime it’s all about enjoying the motion!

I’m going to leave you with a random piccie of my lunch – socca sarnie :-) I’m back into the socca groove. Simple yet satisfying!xoxo
