Happy Friday ladies!
I’ve majorly got the Friday feeling right now! Love it!
Today started off with one crazy event after the other. After running my usual five mile route to work, I was greeted by the disconcerted faces of my colleagues, who were locked outside the practice and unable to start their duties. I joined the club and became a little miserable as the 40minute delay saw me turn from a sweaty Betty, into a shivering, goose pimpled gal!
Anyhoo….two root canals, 11 fillings, one surgical procedure and 2 dental emergencies later, I left work late and headed into town, where my day was suddenly brightened up by the strikingly beautiful Nicky. We sat in Starbucks and chatted away about everything from past issues to future plans and I must say that Nicky blew me away with her strength, courage and gorgeous personality. I am so grateful to have met such a wonderful lady through blogging and I look forward to many fun times ahead!
Whilst chatting, Nicky and I got on to the subject of cravings and labels. We both agreed that if you’re craving Greek yoghurt, just eat Greek yoghurt!! It’s your body telling you that you’re lacking in something e.g. Calcium. Why ignore your body if only to label yourself a vegan? What do you think? Feed your cravings or push them aside to meet the “requirements” of a label?
After a wonderful girlie chat, I headed to Tynemouth to meet Phil and attempt to fly our kite on the beach. FAIL! Not a breath of wind in the air
We walked along the sand and took silly photographs instead. It was great!

On returning to the flat, I decided to honour my time with Nicky (and satisfy the squash craving I’ve had since reading her WIAW post!) by roasting a butternut squash with balsamic and coconut oil. Yum! Veggies and salad made a great accompanying side selection.

Yep…..I had a steak too! Just kidding….that was for Phil
Right….off to read the InStyle that Phil so kindly surprised me with when he came out of the supermarket. He’s the best
What are your plans for the weekend?
What are your thoughts on living up to a label?
Hugs for all!
Xoxo
