Return of the RunnerBeanGreen!

It really is amazing how things unfold. It turns out that all the pregnancy books were right – the second trimester is easier (well, so far!). And writing that last post at such an un-godly hour was the sign that the horrendous fatigue was about to reduce. In the last few days it feels like the fog of doom has finally lifted and I could once again return to some form of normality.

Yes, I’m still tired but I feel pretty normal when I’m awake. I swear I’ve only heard about 30% of what people have said to me in the last 3 months! I can think straight again and the two best bits…..I can run again without writing off the following days and I <3 VEGGIES once again!!! Wohooooooo! These two small facts make my face break into a smile bigger than my face!

Phil and I went to our fave hangout, “Sky Apple Cafe”, to celebrate the end of the first trimester :-) Phil ordered two starters so he could try more things and I picked an amazing pasta dish with spinach, veggies and an egg on top! It was super scrummy. The baby made a good choice ;-)

I’ve learnt a lot about coping mechanisms in life and more so during the last three months. Always remember to breathe when things are getting a bit too much. If you’re juggling too many balls, take a step back, bring yourself into the present moment and breathe……..

Love to you all

xoxo

WIAW

Hi Peeps :-)

I type this post from the comfort of my living room, with “Cupcake Wars” as my entertainment. I’m feeling kinda bleurgh at the moment so I’m sorry if my posts reflect that. I guess life challenges you at times :-)

Anyway…..no matter what your mood or what kind of day you’ve had, it’s always nice to pull on your PJs and join the ultimate party. Yes ladies….it’s WIAW time again!Breakfast was of the oaty variety……

Fine ground oats, chopped banana, soya pudding and a blob of speculoos

This was mega yummy! I got the soy pudding idea from Cherie and I’ll definitely be repeating this trick!

After breakkie, I ran the five miles to work, stopping on the way to pick up my iHerb order….Puffins and Kashi GoLean! I can’t wait to try them!!

Lunch came and went…..it looked something like this

hummus, kiwi, apple, toms, cucumber, almonds

Dinner was inspired by Nicky, who’s seitan photos reeeeeallly made me wanna try the stuff! It was yummy! I can’t wait to try some flavour and marinade combos!

seitan, stir fried veggies

This was washed down with some coconut water…..love this stuff!!Have you tried seitan?

How do you eat yours?! :-)

Happy WIAW peeps!!!

WIAW

Hi ladies……As I sit here on this Wednesday night, my tear-streaked face the result of a particularly emotional day, I take a deep breath and decide to join the party after all. I know it’ll make me feel 100 times better to be amongst you guys. And yes, this Wednesday I attend the gathering in a hoodie, PJ bottoms and have the worst frizz head ever…..but that’s ok. I know you amazing people are ok with that :-)

Once again, thanks to Jen for the invite. This is my kinda party!

Speculoos spread and banana on seedy bread

I had a topsy-turvy day today, when lunch and breakfast were kinda the wrong way round! Blog world has really helped me to accept that you can eat whatever you want, whenever you want!

Oats with dried pears, pineapple, dark choc chips and PB

My breakfast-style lunch was delicious! I’m LOVING the Urban Fruit dried pears……seriously yummy!!! I love that they use seasonal fruits :-)

Seriously guys….try the new pear flavour!

A perfect little apple.....

.....chopped up and coated with pb!

My snack was also delicious…..I have missed apples! I haven’t really eaten many in the last few months. Oh well…..it’s the perfect time of year to amp up the apple consumption!

Butternut squash, spinach, broccoli, tomatoes, ketchup

A mish-mash of veggies = truly yummy! Last night’s dinner is also worthy of a place in the photo album because it tasted delish!

Tuesday's dinner - stir fried veggies with a spicy bean burger on the top!

I’m sorry that this post is a little boring. I’m really lacking in the motivation department at the moment! Even if I haven’t left many comments of recent, O still read all of your posts and will get back to normal soon :-)

love and hugs xoxo
