Randal Nardone is one of the co-founders of the investment management firm Fortress Investment Group. He is one of the top executives who currently serves as a co-chief executive officer. Since 1998, he has been responsible for building the firm into one of the most reputable and successful in the entire financial services industry. Over the last two decades, Randal Nardone has been able to acquire a high amount of wealth. Today, he has been named to the billionaire and richest Americans list by Forbes.
Prior to starting his career, Randal Nardone completed a couple of educational programs. He first attended the University of Connecticut and majored in both biology and English. Once he completed his undergraduate programs, Randal then went on to attend law school. Nardone attended Boston University and completed a Juris Doctor degree. This allowed him to begin his career by becoming a practicing attorney. After completing law school, Randal Nardone then went on to start his career, His first experience after law school was as a practicing attorney for a law firm called Thatcher, Proffitt & Wood. Nardone would serve as a lawyer and then become a member of the firm’s executive committee. While having a successful career in law, Randal decided to pursue opportunities in the financial sector. Nardone joined a firm called Blackrock Financial Management. He would serve as its principal. Randal then pursued an opportunity at UBS to become its managing director.
In 1998 after working at UBS, Randal started up Fortress Investment Group. Once he helped start up the firm, Nardone would become a member of the firm’s management committee. This allowed him to be active in setting goals and implementing strategies for the firm. Within a couple of years, Nardone would become one of the chief executive officers and principals of the firm. Under his leadership, Fortress Investment Group steadily grew to become a renowned alternative asset management firm in the world. It has been able to acquire a very diverse group of clients. Today, Randal still serves as the co-chief executive officer of the firm and helps oversee the firm’s operations.
